The Clarence Valley and surrounding areas are a bushwalker’s heaven. We have Washpool, Gibraltar Range, Kwiambal National Parks to our west. Along the coast we have Yaraygir and Bundjalung National Parks. To our north we have Nightcap, Mt Warning and Border Ranges National Parks. And to the south and south west we have New England, Cathedral Rocks, and many smaller National Parks and reserves near Coffs Harbour. And let’s not forget Dorrigo.
These are all great places for daywalks and full pack walks, and the club has visited them all numerous times.
So if you would like to get out in the great Australian Bush, join us and come on our walks and full pack walks. There is nothing better in the warmer months, than a stroll along one of the coastal beach walks, stopping for a swim along the way.
We have also held extended bushwalking expeditions to more far flung places such as Cradle Valley - Lake St Clair and the South West National Parks in Tasmania, as well as many of the most famous walking tracks in New Zealand, such as the Milford Track, Kepler Track and the Routeburn Track.
We provide a range of walks of varying lengths and difficulties, so you will be able to find one to suit your fitness and experience level.
Experienced walkers in the group will be able to advise you about suitable bush walking equipment, food, and clothing to wear on walks.
