Do a loop thru the bush and return to car park crossing another creek. Approx. 8km. Erica SUN 19 MAR - APPIN ROAD to DARKES FOREST - Cancelled due to forecast hot weather. Mostly on fire trails with one creek crossing. Will visit Maddens Falls (lunch) and Darkes Appleshack where they have lots for sale (apple cider, fruit, jams etc) Medium grade walk of 12-13km. Off-track wander across McCallum’s Flat to the swimming hole; swim if the weather is hot. Off-track sections, partly exploratory. Return via same track is very strenuous.
