SUN 28 APR - KNAPSACK VIADUCT GLENBROOK
Visiting the historic Knapsack Viaduct and Lennox Bridge, as well as a couple of lookouts. Hope to include the old Zig Zag railway track. Very undulating with some steep sections. 8 to 10 km.

Glow Worm Glen - Buchanan's Lookout – Dimmocks Creek - Mark Morton Lookout - Fairy Bower Falls - Bundanoon Creek - optional exploration to bottom of Fairy Bower Creek - Gambell’s Rest. Approx. 15km. Exploratory, some off-track sections, rock scrambling, 250m steep climb, optional creek crossings, car shuffle. Map: Bundanoon.

SUN 17 MAR - SLOTT WAY and STARLIGHTS TRAIL - Nattai NPFrom Wattle Ridge to Nattai River via Slott Way. Follow river and return via Starlights Trail. Thick scrub, river walking, wet feet and swimming opportunity. Approx. 15km circuit with strenuous 450m ascent from river. (Possible alternative / easier walk options on day in same area). Michael

SAT 24 FEB - BUNDANOON GLOW WORMS (Was Sun 25 Feb ) Afternoon start, evening finish. Approx. 5km. Off track walk along Fairy Bower Falls Creek to the main falls. Three extra waterfalls if creeks are flowing. Loop back to start then off track to lost quarry. Drop into unnamed creek to await darkness and glow worms. Greg
SUN 18 FEB - KANGAROO VALLEY Short section through lush rainforest beside mountain stream and waterfall. Ideal beginners walk. Approx. 6km including moderate 2km uphill on return. There is a $2 donation per walker for use of Cedarvale’s facilities. This will be collected at start of walk. Richard

SUN 19 NOV - GERRINGONG to KIAMA Scenic coastal walk along beaches and cliff tops. Undulating terrain, some steep sections. Catch train (bring opal card) from Kiama to Gerringong then return walk of approx. 16km.Michael
SUN 05 NOV - Joadja Nature Reserve. The walk is in Joadja area to mysterious rock piles. About 9kms and apart from one gully to cross will be fairly level walking. Malcolm
SUN 29 OCT - GLENBROOK GORGE Rock hopping and possible wet feet. From the NPWS car park to Nepean River Junction and return. Approx. 10km. Greg M
SUN 22 OCT - APPIN ROAD to DARKES FOREST Pleasant walk mostly on firetrails with one creek crossing. Will visit Darkes Appleshack where jams, fruit, cider and lots more are for sale. Lunch at Madden Falls. Gymea lilies should be on display. Approx. 13km. Jenny
SUN 15 OCT - BARREN GROUNDS Moderate walk through heathland to lookout over escarpment at Cooks Nose. Via Illawarra LO and natural stone bridge. Hopefully wildflowers. Approx. 12km.Richard
SUN 08 OCT - BEASLEYS LOOKOUT Fire trail and bush tracks. Creek crossing. Wattle groves. Short section of easy rock scrambling to LO. Approx. 6km return. Optional side trip to 40ft falls (2-3km return). Erica
MON 02 OCT - WARATAH CIRCUIT Hill Top (Holiday Monday Labour Day long weekend) Moved from SUN 01 because of predicted hot Sunday.
Follow Powerline Firetail to view waratahs. Back to turn-off onto rough track down to Rocky Waterholes Creek where several pools can be seen. Follow creek back to cars. Approx. 6 km.Malcolm

A walk back into the early history of the Blue Mountains. We visit Knapsack Gully Viaduct and Lennox Bridge. Good lookouts. Very undulating tracks. Approx. 8km.

SUN 10 SEP - CRONULLA to KURNELL Beach and cliff tops. Whales and Captain Cook’s landing spot. Approx. 16km. Car shuffle. David M
SUN 27 AUG - NEPEAN GORGE LOOKOUTS
Mostly on fire-trail with four impressive lookouts over the Nepean River. Approx. 13km. Jenny KNAPSACK BRIDGE and ZIG-ZAG TRACK Glenbrook postponed to 24 Sep due to track closures
SUN 20 AUG - MT JELLORE Walk thru Jellore Flora Reserve to Mt Jellore and return. Some steep sections + 150m steep ascent to Mt Jellore summit (optional). Great views from top of Mt Jellore. Approx. 12km. Michael The Wodi Wodi has now been canned altogether because NPWS has closed the northern extent of track from Mt Mitchell down to the Wodi Wodi track until 1st Nov due to construction works as part of the Great Southern Walk.
SUN 13 AUG PENROSE EXPLORER On and off track through scribbly gum woodland visiting historic sites. Exploratory options. Views over Coal Creek. Approx. 10km.Greg M

SUN 30 JUL Mt KEMBLA Moderate walk around ring track (about 6km circuit) then up to the summit (about 3km return). Richard
SUN 23 JUL BULLIO CLIFFS CIRCUITRound trip Bullio escarpment and mid cliff line exploratory walk, approx. 10km with 300m up and 300m down. Strenuous walk, some on fire trails, some on rough bush tracks, some exploratory off-track. Magnificent views over Bullio valley and Wollondilly River. Experienced walkers only. Map: Barrallier. SUN 16 JUL - CASCADES and CLOVER HILL Macquarie Pass Rainforest walk to Cascade Falls, then return to bullock track for 200m gradual ascent to Clover Hill Trail and views of Rainbow and Mulangong Falls. Return via same route. Approx. 12km. Michael
Note: The direct steep climb from the Cascades to Clover Hill Rd is permanently closed and all tracks off Clover Hill Rd are permanently closed.  Mulangong Falls, Clover Falls and McAndrew Falls are now permanently out of bounds until NPWS change their minds.
SUN 09 JUL - Mt ALEXANDRA CIRCUIT Lake Alexandra to 60ft Falls via Leopold Street. Follow Nattai River to meet Gibbergunyah Creek. Steep climb up eroded log steps to service trail for return to lake. Multiple creek crossings. Approx. 8km.Erica
SUN 02 JUL - MINERVA POOL Dharawal NP Lovely walk from Wedderburn area to Minerva Pool. Also visiting O'Hares Creek Lookout. If possible, a short side-trip to Jingga Pool. No more than 10km. Jenny
SUN 25 JUN - KANGAROO RIVER TRAIL Scenic walk along fire trail to Lake Yarrunga opposite Beehive Point. Approx. 8km, 250m down and 250m up, some steep sections. Richard
SUN 18 JUN - CUMBERTINE TRIG Hill Top Loop walk on tracks west of Hill Top via railway line, Hex rocks, lookouts and Cumbertine trig. Malcolm
MON 12 JUN - BOMADERRY CREEK and BENS WALK Cancelled and replaced by Mt Waratah on Sun 11th (King’s Birthday long weekend) Two interesting walks in Nowra. Both involve lookouts, stone steps, walking beside creeks and a river crossing. May be held later in the year. Moderate. Approx. 11km total. Julie

SUN 28 MAY - HILLTOP to YERRINBOOL A 16km loop walk from Hill Top to Yerrinbool and back. Mainly on fire trails (P3 and P3c) but some steep, off-track exploratory sections and Bargo River crossings.(An easier option, if some want to, would be to go to river overlook and back the same way) David M
SUN 21 MAY - WOLLONDILLY RIVER Bullio Walk from Bullio Valley to Wollondilly River. Approx. 10km. Possible side trip of 4km which involves crossing river. Total ascent / descent 300m. Strenuous walk, some on rough bush tracks, some on fire trails. Magnificent views. Car shuffle from car park / road works depot on Wombeyan Caves Rd approx. 20km from Mittagong. Jon Coughlin

SUN 30 APR - STOKES CREEK, DHARAWAL NP Start at 10B trail on Appin Road. Visiting Quarry Lake, then Stokes Creek for lunch in a peaceful setting with cascading water and rock pools to explore. Track is undulating. Approx. 11km.Jenny

SUN 26 MAR - Mt ALEXANDRA - WELBY From Lake Alexandra car park, head to track behind the lake, cross ford and keep a southerly direction behind Aldi. Cross a second creek. Do a loop thru the bush and return to car park crossing another creek. Approx. 8km. Erica
SUN 19 MAR - APPIN ROAD to DARKES FOREST - Cancelled due to forecast hot weather. Mostly on fire trails with one creek crossing. Will visit Maddens Falls (lunch) and Darkes Appleshack where they have lots for sale (apple cider, fruit, jams etc) Medium grade walk of 12-13km. Jenny
SUN 12 MAR - LONG POINT to SHOALHAVEN RIVER Long Point Lookout to Shoalhaven River via Long Point Track. Off-track wander across McCallum’s Flat to the swimming hole; swim if the weather is hot. Off-track sections, partly exploratory. Return via same track is very strenuous. Approx. 10km with 500m descent/ascent. Limit 10 members. Map: Caoura. Barbara

SUN 27 NOV 2022 - Mt ALEXANDRA Walk from Lake Alexandra to Mittagong golf course reservoir then up to unnamed lookout and return. Then up to Katoomba Lookout returning to lake via Boulder Track. Approx. 10km total. Erica
SUN 20 NOV - LAKE ALEXANDRA to BOXVALE INCLINE. Mittagong Lake Alexandra to Nattai River and Claude Lee Pass to ascend Boxvale incline. Return to Lake via cutting and Forty Foot falls. River crossings, steep 160m ascent, rough terrain. Approx. 15km. Michael
SUN 13 NOV - CARRINGTON FALLS CIRCUIT Cancelled due to poor weather forecast. Relatively moderate walk taking in Carrington Falls, spectacular lookouts & two swimming spots. Includes creek crossing & crossing rocks above the falls. Approx. 8km. Jenny
SUN 06 NOV - BUNDANOON / PENROSE Shangri La Trail area. View Point Road then into the bush. Off track exploring, steep parts, exposed cliffs. Good views from lookouts south over Bundanoon Creek. Approx. 8km circuit. Greg M

Bundanoon - Gambells Rest – Riverview Road – Mark Morton Lookout – Bundanoon Creek – optional exploration to bottom of Fairy Bower Creek – back to Gambells Rest. Some off-track, rock scrambling, 250m steep climb, optional creek crossings. Approx. 14km. Barbara
SUN 23 OCT - HIDDEN VALLEY Morton NP Moderate walk via Promised Land Trail, Fitzroy canal and pipeline. Approx. 12km on fire trails and 2km bush bashing. Limit: 12 SHBW members only. Map: Bundanoon. Sandy
SUN 16 OCT - BLUE GUM MOUNTAIN Lakesland area. Hoddles Track to an abandoned trail. Stone bridge, views, exposed cliffs, steep exploratory sections. Return along Blue Gum Mountain, detour to overlook Sharp Peak. Approx. 12km. Greg M

SUN 18 SEP - SECRET GARDEN Macquarie Pass Cancelled due to Park closure.Start on Mount Murray Road and follow original route of the Upper Macquarie Pass. Off-track. Approx. 4km. (Can be extended to bottom of pass but this will require a car shuffle. Approx. 7km). Map: Robertson. David H

SUN 11 SEP - BULLIO LOOP WALK  Walk along fire trail to the Bullio tunnel. Head down gully to lookout with magnificent views of Basket Creek valley. Continue down to a network of tracks which cross numerous gullies and creeks before heading back up again. Option at top to continue for good views and sites of cultural significance. Walk includes a steep section, descent / ascent of 300m. Mainly on rough, narrow tracks with some sections on good fire trails. Approx. 10km. Map: Barrallier. Jon Coughlin

SUN 31 JUL - MINERVA POOL Dharawal NP Walk starts beside Stokes Creek on 10T trail to Minerva Pool and LO then continues to main track (from Victoria Road). Option #1 is to follow very steep Jingga track leading down to historic steps at O’Hares Creek and return. Option #2 is on fairly level track to O’Hares Lookout and return. Approx. 10km. Jenny
